Dappled dogs

On Wednesday, Betty, GLB and I walked in Tooting Common for a change of scenery.  It’s a bit more woody and shady than Battersea or Clapham so we mooched around in the dappled shade and rootled around for treats on logs and so on.  She may be short of leg, but Betty is like a harrier jump jet when it comes to getting onto a log if she thinks GLB may snaffle her share.  He, needless to say, is very gentlemanly and doesn’t mind a jot if she steals his.

Then we turned into Florence Nightingale and went to see a friend who was just out of hospital having had an ankle op.  Not great weather to be forced into wearing support stockings for two weeks.  I took the new hooves for amusement and after a pitch inspection, a race around the perimeter and a few harsh words to the birds on the fence, we all chilled out for a chew.  Jo and I had the high fibre dried fruit – codeine can be a bit of a blocker I recall from my foot op last year …  The dogs played steal the hoof with each other, to Jo’s amusement.  It turns out GLB is a fan of dried mango as it happens.
